The Senior Accountant is a crucial member of our finance team, responsible for overseeing the financial operations and ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial reporting. This position plays a pivotal role in developing and implementing best practices for financial management and reporting within the organization. The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical accounting expertise and strategic business insight to steer financial processes that enhance decision-making and support business growth. As a Senior Accountant, you will work closely with various departments to analyze financial data, prepare financial statements, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional with excellent analytical skills who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and can communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets.
• Manage the general ledger and ensure accuracy in financial entries and reconciliations.
• Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations for various business areas.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist in tax preparation and filing processes.
• Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and business recommendations.
• Assist in budget preparation and managing the overall financial planning process.
• Monitor cash flow and project future financial trends to support strategic initiatives.
• Train, mentor, and supervise junior accounting staff to enhance their skills and performance.
• Implement effective cost-control measures to optimize company expenditures.
• Recommend and help implement technology solutions to improve financial operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience, with a track record of success.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation or equivalent is highly preferred.
• Proficient understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Strong analytical skills and experience with financial data analysis and reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms is advantageous.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and leadership skills in financial contexts.
