Job Description

The Senior Account Manager plays an integral role in managing and expanding client accounts, ensuring client satisfaction, and achieving company growth targets. This professional will possess excellent communication and negotiation skills, enabling them to foster strong partnerships with clients. Their primary focus will be to understand clients' unique needs and deliver strategic solutions that enhance customer relationships and drive business performance. They are expected to not only maintain existing accounts but also proactively identify and secure new business opportunities. Additionally, the Senior Account Manager will provide leadership and guidance to junior team members, working collaboratively to develop and implement effective account management strategies that align with the company's objectives. Thorough knowledge of the industry, market trends, and competitor analysis will be essential to achieving success in this role.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients to foster customer loyalty.
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts to achieve revenue targets.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing queries and solving issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions according to customer needs.
  • Prepare and present reports on account status, detailing performance metrics and client satisfaction surveys.
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients to review services, discuss strategic plans, and share valuable insights.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms and conditions are met.
  • Oversee account budgets, forecasting, and financial reporting to meet profit objectives.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior account managers to develop their skills and performance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitive landscape to identify new growth areas.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop strategies that improve brand awareness.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal guidelines in all account management activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in account management or sales roles.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a B2B environment.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills are essential.
  • Strong leadership abilities with experience in mentoring and developing teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts while maintaining attention to detail and strategic vision.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite for account management tasks.
