Currently, we are in search of a highly organised and detail-oriented Academic Data and Systems Manager to join our highly accomplished team.

This role is being advertised as part of our strategic growth.

Role Overview

The Academic Data Manager will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and reporting of academic data across both the primary and secondary phases of our school. You will work closely with school leaders, teachers, data personnel, and administrative staff to ensure data is accurate, accessible, and used effectively to support teaching, learning, and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the school’s data systems (e.g. MIS, assessment platforms)
  • Coordinate and oversee assessment cycles and reporting processes
  • Produce high-quality reports and data analysis to inform school improvement
  • Ensure data compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g. KHDA, DfE, etc.)
  • Provide training and support to staff on data-related systems and practices

Function

To have overall responsibility for data analysis and management of:

  • iSAMS student data system (marksheets)
  • iSAMS curriculum information (set lists and student timetables)

To Lead In The Analysis Of School Data

  • To work with SLT, HODs and HOHs to enhance and develop the use of student data analyses so that they impact on Teaching and Learning in every classroom
  • To manage the curriculum data cycle – analyse performance data, produce reports for Middle and Senior Leaders, etc
  • To initiate and develop systems to improve data usage throughout the school.
  • To assist in the preparation and maintenance of the school timetable
  • To produce reports and analyses to support the Heads of House in their pastoral roles

Outline Of Duties

  • Maintenance of accurate assessment and reporting data within ISAMs database.
  • To develop and provide student performance data for analysis, manage the creation and maintenance of mark sheets and report templates for the collection and distribution of data.
  • To produce useful data analysis reports (interim and summative) at set times of the year as part of the data cycle for the Senior Leadership Team, HODs, HOYs, teaching staff, etc.
  • To lead on data analysis of A-Level and GCSE results days (internal and external).
  • Administration in respect of termly student monitoring, preparation of mark sheets for teachers, preparation of reports and mark sheets for pastoral staff, generation, printing and distribution of student reports to parents, and response to parental queries.
  • Administration of the yearly student report process and generation and printing of student reports.
  • To assist the Assistant Headteachers/SLT etc. in the analysis of school data.
  • To manage GL Assessment data (CAT4, PTE, PTM & PTS) via Testwise website.
  • To administer and check MEGS.
  • To make use of external data systems such as CAT4, PTE, PTM, PTS, PISA & TIMSS.
  • To assist in the preparation of KHDA school performance data.
  • To provide performance data as requested by staff, students and parents, departments and faculties.
  • To anticipate future data needs and ensure that data and analysis is in line with changes to assessment.
  • Timetabling for the whole school.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Proven experience in a data management role, ideally within an educational setting
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in using MIS platforms (ideally ISAMs), Excel, Google Sheets and data management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to communicate clearly in writing and orally to a variety of audiences
  • Excellent numeracy skills
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work across multiple school phases

  • Once initial interviews are concluded, arrangements will be made individually with those candidates who will proceed to the second round of interviews.
  • A demonstration lesson will be required.
