Overview Of The Role:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing, executing, and delivering hospitality, commercial, and residential development projects within time, quality, and budget parameters. The role requires effective communication with all stakeholders including businesses, commercial entities, planning, and facility management departments. The focus is on steering projects from design inception through to construction and handover, integrating Al Futtaim brand products where possible. A systemic approach to team leadership, quality assurance, progress monitoring, cost management, and value engineering is essential to ensure the successful completion of projects.

What You Will Do:

Team Leadership

• Lead a team of external and internal consultants, contractors, and commercial staff.
• Implement strategies for team members to achieve project goals.
• Delegate tasks based on team members' strengths and skills.
• Offer necessary training to complete tasks.
• Inspire and motivate team members with regular encouragement and individualized coaching.
  
  

Project Delivery Quality

• Ensure projects meet defined quality standards resulting in Completion Certificate receipt.
• Continuously review and monitor projects to ensure quality achievement as per standards.
  
  

Project Delivery Progress

• Ensure project progress is achieved within the timeframe, keeping all team members informed.
• Monitor project progress and procure actions from the project team to meet programme targets.
  
  

Project Delivery Cost

• Maintain project costs within described viability limits.
• Submit project cost reports on time and ensure delivery within or below budget.
  
  

Project Value Engineering

• Inform the project team about value-added/buildability options timely and accurately.
• Conduct regular value engineering exercises to maintain engineered solutions within cost parameters.
  
  

Human Resource Development

• Ensure project team is adequately staffed with competent site staff.
• Direct works and provide on-the-job training to engineers.
  
  

Project Reporting and Documentation

• Maintain a record of project activities for the project's duration.
• Procure and maintain true records of completed project documentation for completion certificates.
  
  

Project Construction Participants

• Evaluate and participate in the selection of suitable construction participants such as suppliers and contractors.
  
  

Required Skills To Be Successful:

• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Project management proficiency with major project experience.
• Excellent communication skills in a multinational setting.
• Proactive approach and strong problem-solving abilities.
  
  

What Qualifies You For The Role:

• 15-20 years of experience in the construction field from a project management background.
• A minimum of 10 years in a leadership position in a multinational environment.
• A university degree in Civil Engineering and Building.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel) and MS Project.
