Security Supervisor At InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay

InterContinental Residences Dubai Business Bay is seeking a confident, professional, and guest-focused Security Supervisor, reporting directly to the Security Manager, to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment while upholding InterContinental brand values and Forbes luxury standards.

The Security Supervisor supports the Security Manager in overseeing day-to-day security operations, supervising the security team, and ensuring proactive risk management across the property. The role ensures the delivery of safe, secure, and fully compliant security operations while maintaining a discreet, polished presence aligned with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) brand standards and Forbes Travel Guide luxury expectations.

With a strong focus on operational supervision, team leadership, risk prevention, and regulatory compliance, the Security Supervisor plays a key role in safeguarding the safety of guests, colleagues, and property assets at all times.

As a Security Supervisor, your leadership, vigilance, and emotional intelligence will directly support guest confidence, employee safety, and the property’s reputation for excellence.

Your Day-to-Day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

Guest Safety & Luxury Experience

• Maintain a visible yet unobtrusive security presence that enhances guest comfort and confidence
• Interact with guests professionally, courteously, and discreetly, respecting privacy and confidentiality
• Handle incidents, complaints, or disturbances calmly and empathetically, in line with luxury service principles
• Ensure all security interventions are proportionate, respectful, and guest-focused
  
  

Security Operations & Supervision

• Supervise daily security operations across all residential and public areas
• Deploy, brief, and monitor security officers to ensure effective coverage and compliance
• Conduct regular patrols, inspections, and security checks
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, alarms, and calls in accordance with established SOPs
• Ensure accurate completion of incident reports, occurrence logs, and shift handovers
  
  

Safety, Emergency & Risk Management

• Enforce fire, life safety, and emergency response procedures at all times
• Lead the initial response to fire, medical, evacuation, or security emergencies
• Monitor CCTV, access control, fire alarm, and life safety systems
• Identify hazards, vulnerabilities, and non-compliance, reporting issues promptly
• Participate in emergency drills, risk assessments, and safety meetings
  
  

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Support the Security Manager in supervising, coaching, and motivating the security team
• Assist with duty rosters, attendance monitoring, and discipline management
• Coordinate closely with Front Office, Engineering, Housekeeping, and Management teams
• Communicate VIP movements, special events, and heightened security requirements
  
  

Acting-in-Charge Responsibilities

• Act on behalf of the Security Manager during absence, leave, or off-duty hours
• Ensure uninterrupted security operations and effective decision-making when acting in charge
• Escalate critical incidents to senior management in line with established protocols
• Support investigations, audits, and corrective actions as required
  
  

Compliance, Audit & Brand Standards

• Ensure full compliance with IHG SOPs, hotel policies, and local authority regulations
• Adhere strictly to SIRA licensing requirements and Dubai security regulations
• Maintain audit-ready documentation for SIRA, Dubai Police, Civil Defence, and internal audits
• Protect confidential information and sensitive security data at all times
  
  

What We Need from You Licensing Requirements

• Completion of a SIRA-approved Security Supervisor course from an accredited provider
• Valid Security Supervisor License issued by SIRA or an equivalent Dubai authority
• Valid Dubai Police Good Conduct Certificate directed to SIRA
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Previous experience as a Security Supervisor or Senior Security Officer in a luxury hotel, serviced residence, or high-end environment preferred
• Strong knowledge of security operations, emergency procedures, and safety systems
• Familiarity with UAE safety regulations and SIRA standards is an advantage
• Experience with international hotel brands is desirable

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Diploma or certification in Security Management, Hospitality Management, Criminal Justice, or a related field is an advantage
• Ongoing professional development in security operations, emergency response, fire & life safety, or risk management is desirable
