Scrum Master - Banking (225-825)

The role of a Scrum Master within the banking industry is critical to ensuring that Agile methodologies are properly followed and that project teams operate at peak efficiency. Responsibilities

• Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings with banking IT teams.
• Help the team resolve conflicts and remove obstacles to their progress and productivity.
• Ensure the team adheres to Scrum framework practices and principles effectively and efficiently.
• Collaborate closely with product owners to manage backlogs and new requests from stakeholders.
• Monitor team performance using key Agile metrics and promote continuous improvement initiatives.
• Act as a liaison and communicate project status updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Coach and mentor team members on Agile methodologies to enhance team performance and deliverables.
• Facilitate the seamless integration of new technologies and tools to improve team workflow.
• Advocate for process changes designed to improve team efficiency and project outcomes.
• Conduct Agile workshops and training sessions to build a strong Agile mindset within the organization.
• Ensure that Agile ceremonies are productive and result in actionable insights and outcomes.
• Maintain awareness of emerging trends within Agile practices and apply them where applicable.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Professional Scrum Master (PSM) or Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) accreditation required.
• Minimum of three years of experience in a Scrum Master role within the banking sector.
• Strong understanding of banking industry regulations, constraints, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent facilitation, coaching, and communication skills for managing teams effectively.
• Proficient in Agile tools and software like Jira, Confluence, and Trello.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
