Scada Operator (225-816)

As a SCADA Operator, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system for our operations. This role involves monitoring and controlling technical systems, ensuring operational efficiency, and maintaining the safety of processes within the facility. The SCADA Operator plays a crucial role in gathering real-time data, diagnosing system faults, and responding promptly to any anomalies. Responsibilities

• Monitor real-time operational data provided by the SCADA system effectively and efficiently.
• Respond to alarms and alerts generated by the SCADA system in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues promptly.
• Ensure all system software and hardware components are functioning correctly at all times.
• Log and report all operational events and anomalies for future reference and analysis.
• Implement modifications and upgrades to the SCADA system as needed.
• Provide routine system checks and maintenance to minimize operational downtime.
• Ensure compliance with company protocols and safety standards at all times.
• Assist in developing training materials for staff on SCADA system operation and troubleshooting.
• Participate in emergency response planning and execution when necessary.
• Be a part of continuous improvement initiatives for optimizing system performance.
• Communicate effectively with team members across departments to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in operating and managing SCADA systems in an industrial setting.
• Strong understanding of industrial automation, control systems, and instrumentation.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve technical issues swiftly.
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Good communication and collaboration skills when working within cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of programming languages related to industrial software applications is a plus.
