SAP Extended Warehouse Management EWM Functional Consultant

Position Summary:

Spinneys, the UAE's leading premium food retailer, is seeking a SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Functional Consultant. This role is responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, and supporting SAP EWM solutions to optimize warehouse and logistics operations. The consultant works closely with business stakeholders to understand warehouse processes and translate business requirements into scalable SAP EWM solutions while ensuring seamless integration with other SAP modules.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather and analyze business requirements from warehouse and supply chain stakeholders.
• Conduct workshops and prepare functional specifications (FS) for custom developments.
• Configure SAP EWM business processes, including: Inbound and Outbound Processing, Putaway Strategies, Picking Strategies, Packing and Handling Unit Management, Physical Inventory, Replenishment, Cross-Docking, Wave Management, Yard Management, Slotting and Rearrangement.
• Configure warehouse structures, including warehouse numbers, storage types, storage sections, storage bins, activity areas, and work centers.
• Integrate SAP EWM with SAP MM, SD, PP, TM, and other enterprise applications.
• Perform fit-gap analysis and recommend SAP best practices.
• Prepare functional design documents, configuration documents, process flows, and user manuals.
• Coordinate with ABAP developers for enhancements, reports, interfaces, forms, and workflows.
• Execute Unit Testing, SIT, UAT, and support defect resolution.
• Support data migration, cutover planning, go-live, and hypercare activities.
• Provide end-user training and post-implementation support.
• Analyze production issues and provide functional solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve warehouse efficiency and business processes.

Experience and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant SAP consulting experience, with strong hands-on experience in SAP EWM.
• Experience in at least 2 end-to-end SAP EWM implementations, covering requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
• Strong functional knowledge of SAP EWM, including Embedded and/or Decentralized EWM.
• Hands-on experience in the configuration and implementation of: Warehouse Structures, Inbound and Outbound Processing, Putaway and Picking Strategies, Warehouse Tasks and Warehouse Orders, RF Framework, Process/Layout-Oriented Storage Control (POSC/LOSC), Handling Units (HUs), Post Processing Framework (PPF), Physical Inventory, Replenishment, Wave Management, Cross-Docking, Yard Management, Slotting and Rearrangement.
• Strong understanding of SAP EWM integration with SAP MM, SD, PP, TM, QM, and other enterprise applications.
• Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA EWM implementations, rollouts, migrations, upgrades, and support projects.
• Experience with warehouse automation, barcode scanners, RF devices, RFC integration, and ERP-EWM integration is an advantage.
• Experience working with ABAP developers and technical teams on enhancements, reports, interfaces, forms, workflows, and custom developments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting, and process improvement skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams.
• Strong understanding of warehouse, logistics, and supply chain processes.
• SAP EWM certification is an advantage.
