Job Description

The Sales Specialist in Jewellery position is designed for those with a passion for fine jewellery and a talent for engaging customers. This role requires individuals who are enthusiastic about providing excellent customer service, have a keen eye for detail, and can identify customer needs to recommend exquisite jewellery pieces that match their preferences. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills to build lasting relationships with clients and play a crucial role in achieving sales targets within the jewellery department. A Sales Specialist should be knowledgeable about different types of gems and metals, the unique qualities of each piece, and be able to articulate this knowledge effectively to clients. This role is essential in ensuring customer satisfaction and driving the brand forward in a competitive market.


Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers to provide a welcome and personalized shopping experience.
  • Identify customer needs and preferences to recommend suitable jewellery pieces.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge about different types of jewellery and materials.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and performance metrics on a regular basis.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with returning and new customers effectively.
  • Coordinate with team members to enhance customer satisfaction and sales objectives.
  • Keep track of new jewellery inventory and update display sections accordingly.
  • Handle transactions professionally, including cash and credit processes accurately.
  • Participate in special promotions, merchandising events, and product launches actively.
  • Provide after-sale services including resizing, cleaning, and repair guidance to clients.
  • Utilize CRM tools to maintain customer preferences and sales records consistently.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and new collections to inform customers accurately.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience in a retail setting, preferably within the jewellery industry.
  • Strong sales skills with a focus on great customer relationship management.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with diverse clientele.
  • Ability to work flexible retail schedule, including holidays and weekends.
  • Knowledge of jewellery and gemology is advantageous and strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in point of sale systems and CRM software applications.
