Job Description

The job of a Sales Promoter is integral to driving product awareness and maximising sales in retail environments or during promotional events. As a Sales Promoter, you are expected to engage directly with customers to highlight the benefits and features of the products you are promoting. This role requires excellent communication skills, a persuasive attitude, and a deep understanding of the products or services being promoted. A successful Sales Promoter combines their passion for the product with a customer-focused approach to generate interest and facilitate sales. You will work closely with retail management teams and marketing staff to organise promotional events and create an engaging sales atmosphere, always aiming to exceed the set sales targets while ensuring customer satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Understand the products thoroughly and convey benefits to potential customers effectively.
  • Engage with customers directly to promote and spark interest in the products.
  • Demonstrate product uses and benefits through presentations or demos with confidence.
  • Answer customer queries with detailed information and suggest suitable purchasing options.
  • Collaborate with retail stores and management to organise promotional events and setups.
  • Maintain a clean and inviting demonstration area that attracts potential clients.
  • Monitor competitor activities and provide insights for improvements in promotion strategies.
  • Report daily sales and feedback from customers to the management and marketing team.
  • Develop and maintain a good relationship with key retail personnel and management.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to the retail store’s profitability.
  • Identify customer needs and preferences to tailor promotional strategies effectively.
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of marketing materials during events.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required for this position.
  • Proven experience in a sales or promotional role would be an advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse customers.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
  • Positive attitude with a desire to meet and exceed sales targets consistently.
  • Capability to stand and demonstrate products for extended periods during shifts.
  • Be a proactive, motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
