Job Description

A Sales Manager in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector plays a crucial role in driving the company's revenue and market share. The Sales Manager is responsible for developing strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization. Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet company targets.
  • Oversee the activities and performance of the sales team effectively.
  • Motivate team members through coaching and objective setting initiatives.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities or trends.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships and partnerships.
  • Present sales, revenue, and expenses reports with realistic forecasts.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products.
  • Evaluate sales team performance on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align strategies and objectives.
  • Approve the expenditures of budgets and resource allocations within the sales team.
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on products.
  • Ensure the team’s adherence to company policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field is preferred.
  • Proven sales management experience in the FMCG industry is essential.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics and FMCG sales strategies.
  • Excellent leadership, coaching, and people management skills are mandatory.
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting sales performance metrics and reports.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills are required.
