Push your boundaries as a Sales Manager Duty Free in Travel Retail MEA

As a Sales Manager Duty Free across MEA, you are the key link between global brands, international customers such as airports, border shops, port stores & brand approved distribution partners across the Middle East & Africa. You know how to turn opportunities into results and are looking for a new challenge where you can fully unleash your entrepreneurial mindset. In this role, sales is all about building long-term partnerships / relationships with both customers and suppliers. You move easily between both worlds and know better than anyone how to close deals that create value for all parties.
 

What will you be doing?

• Be the main point of contact between global brand owners and your international Duty Free partners, ensuring strong collaboration and alignment across all Travel Retail channels.
• Work across multiple product categories while maintaining close relationships with both customers and suppliers.
• Build and strengthen partnerships with brand owners, key stakeholders, and retail customers through regular market visits and virtual engagement. Expect to travel once or twice per month.
• Develop and implement category strategies that drive sustainable sales growth, profitability, and long-term business success, adapting plans to changing market conditions and customer needs.
• Analyze market trends, sales performance, customer insights, and competitor activity to identify opportunities, optimize assortment, and support strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with brand partners and internal teams on new product launches, pricing strategies, promotional activities, and commercial initiatives to maximize category performance.
• Use your strong analytical skills to continuously monitor results, identify gaps and opportunities, and adjust strategies to improve commercial performance.
• Apply your sharp negotiation and deal-making skills to secure mutually beneficial commercial agreements while balancing profitability with long-term strategic partnerships.
• Prepare regular performance updates and provide actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders based on commercial results, market developments, and competitive insights.

You are an entrepreneurial team player with a commercial mindset. You think ahead, act with purpose, and use your sharp analysis and clear approach to make a real impact. You thrive on closing deals and enjoy working in an international, fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

You:

• Have at least 3 years of experience in FMCG sales within Duty Free.
• Have university degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Have an interest in driving brand partnerships in a region / channel.
• Have experience with distribution and are quick to spot and seize commercial opportunities.
• Possess strong analytical skills; you know your numbers and use them strategically.
• Are both a team player and an independent deal closer.
• Strong sales leadership and operational excellence.
• Speak fluent English both written and spoken; Arabic, French and/or Hindi are all a plus.
• Are open to traveling regularly.
