Job Description

Jeppesen/ForeFlight is seeking a skilled and dynamic Solutions Engineer to join our Military Aviation Sales Team. The role primarily involves serving as the technical conscience of the sales team and a trusted advisor to the customer. The ideal candidate would be a pilot with military experience with a strong technical background, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain lasting client relationships. This role can be remote with Dubai.

Role Objectives And Responsibilities

Serve as the primary technical point of contact for our most essential clients in Northern Africa and the Middle East. Understanding their needs, challenges, and goals. Engage with customers in discussions to better understand their technical requirements and propose tailored solutions.

Utilize comprehensive product knowledge to support the sales team with technical guidance. Conduct product demonstrations and coordinate trial and evaluation periods to help our clients understand the features and benefits of our portfolio.

Collaborate with the sales and product management teams to coordinate the development of our solutions that can align with the client’s requirements. Create proposals and specifications to address client needs, ensuring the proposed solutions are both technically feasible and financially viable.

Build strong, lasting relationships with clients by acting as a trusted advisor. Continuously follow up, address concerns, and maintain regular communication to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

Act as a bridge between clients and internal teams, providing valuable insights and feedback from clients regarding product improvement and development opportunities.

Assist the sales team in complex sales cycles by providing technical expertise, conducting product demonstrations, and addressing technical concerns to close deals effectively.

Provide on-site technical support for trade shows, customer on-site visits, and contracted consultation opportunities where defined deliverables are time-bound and require efficient product coordination.

Participate in Virtual Teams to gain an overall understanding of the Solutions Engineering verticals.

Execute on established plans to prevent post-sales issues that shorten time to revenue.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field.

Experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in sales engineering, technical consulting, or a similar capacity.

Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written.

Strong technical background and ability to learn quickly and communicate technical concepts with non-technical stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively.

Strong time management and multitasking skills

Preferred Qualifications

Top candidates will have prior military experience, with a strong preference for former military pilots.

2+ years in the industry, with enterprise experience.

Experience with Jeppesen ForeFlight products and/or relevant experience with key competitor offerings in the technology area of emphasis.

Vertical market solution planning, implementation, and operational background.

Sales/Solutions engineering experience.

Language: English, French, and Arabic.
