We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Sales Engineer specializing in solar energy to join our innovative team. The successful candidate will play an integral role in driving sales growth by leveraging their technical expertise and understanding of solar systems to provide valuable insights and solutions to our clients. As a Sales Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to bridge the gap between technical complexities and customer needs, thereby ensuring optimal satisfaction and project success. You will engage with prospective clients, presenting the benefits of our solar solutions and developing customized proposals that meet their energy needs. Your ability to understand intricate solar technologies, articulate them in simple terms, and translate them into actionable business solutions will be key. This position not only requires a strong technical background in solar energy systems but also demands excellent communication, customer service, and sales skills to sustain long-term client relationships and drive ongoing revenue for the company.


Responsibilities

  • Engage with potential clients to understand their unique solar energy needs and objectives.
  • Develop and deliver technical presentations that effectively communicate solar system benefits.
  • Create customized solar energy solutions aligning with the client’s requirements and budget.
  • Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to align on project goals and timelines.
  • Conduct site assessments to determine feasibility and technical specifications of solar solutions.
  • Prepare detailed proposals and quotations for solar projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Participate in client meetings to negotiate project terms and provide technical support.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the latest trends and technologies in the solar energy sector.
  • Support the sales team by providing technical insights during pre-sales and post-sales activities.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing queries and solving problems promptly and effectively.
  • Record and track customer interactions and project updates in the company’s CRM system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • At least three years of sales engineering experience in the solar energy industry.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of solar photovoltaic systems and components.
  • Proven ability to develop and present high-impact technical presentations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks while adhering to timelines and budgets.
  • Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) and solar design software tools.
  • Capacity to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
