Job Description

A Sales Engineer is a pivotal role that bridges the gap between the technical and sales teams within a company. The Sales Engineer works closely with potential clients to understand their technical needs and effectively communicates how the company’s products or services can meet those needs. Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Engage with potential customers to understand their specific technical requirements.
  • Conduct detailed product demonstrations for clients emphasizing key features and benefits.
  • Prepare and present technical proposals and solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Partner with product development to relay customer feedback and needs for future enhancements.
  • Provide technical training and support to clients post-sale to ensure successful implementation.
  • Act as a technical advisor to the sales team on product capabilities and limitations.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, innovations, and competitor products and services.
  • Assist in the development of sales materials, presentations, and other marketing resources.
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of company offerings and competitive differentiators.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Track and report on sales activities, client engagements, and pipeline development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in a sales engineering, technical consulting, or pre-sales role.
  • Strong understanding of industry-specific products and services in relevant fields.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective client engagement.
  • Ability to translate complex technical information into clear and concise presentations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused approach to solutions.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, industry conferences, and other engagements.
