THE ROLE:
 
Following a recent merger, FGE and NexantECA, leading consulting companies specializing in energy markets, are expanding our Dubai Sales Department.
 

This is a rare early-career opportunity to join our MEA commercial team in Dubai one of the most dynamic energy hubs in the world working directly alongside one of our most experienced and consistently successful Business Development Managers. From day one you will have access to world-class mentorship, a market-leading product portfolio, and a client base that spans the most consequential energy organisations across the Middle East and Africa.

The expectation is clear: this role is the starting point for a high-potential individual who wants to build a serious commercial career in the energy sector. With strong performance, the pathway from SDR to Business Development Manager is a realistic and supported ambition within 12 to 24 months.

Job Requirements

Skills and Experience:

  • 0–3 years of commercial, business development or client-facing experience this is an early-career role and we are as interested in potential and mindset as in track record.
  • A genuine interest in energy markets, commodities, geopolitics or the energy transition.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English credible, clear and professional at every level.
  • Organised, self-motivated and disciplined comfortable managing your own priorities and maintaining high activity levels independently.
  • A commercial mindset and the drive to build a career in sales and business development.
  • Eligibility and willingness to be based full-time in Dubai, UAE.
Desirable
  • Degree in energy, economics, finance, engineering, international relations or a related discipline.
  • Prior sector exposure through internship, academic research or early professional experience in energy or commodities.
  • Arabic language skills an advantage for client engagement across parts of the MEA region.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (Salesforce or similar).
  • Experience living, studying or working in the Middle East or Africa.




Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
 
Pipeline & Prospecting 
  • Research, identify and qualify new business opportunities across MEA energy markets, with a focus on gas, oil, LNG and energy transition clients.
  • Build and maintain a structured, consistently updated prospect list across target segments including NOCs, IOCs, commodity traders, utilities and financial institutions.
  • Execute high-quality, personalised outbound outreach via email, LinkedIn, phone and at industry events grounded in sector knowledge, not generic templates.
  • Qualify inbound leads and lead initial discovery conversations to a defined handover standard, ensuring the senior BDM enters every deal with full context.
Supporting the Senior BDM
  • Work in close daily partnership with the senior BDM to support active pipeline management, deal progression, and the preparation of client meeting materials and proposals.
  • Attend client meetings, presentations and sector events as part of a structured development plan observing, contributing and gradually leading elements as confidence grows.
  • Prepare account research, briefing documents and competitive intelligence that sharpens the quality of every client interaction.
  • Maintain accurate and timely CRM records across all prospect and client activity.
Sector Engagement & Networking
  • Develop a working knowledge of FGE NexantECA’s product and service portfolio, including data subscriptions, research reports and consulting services relevant to MEA.
  • Monitor sector news and market developments across MEA energy markets and use these to generate timely, relevant outreach and conversation hooks.
  • Represent FGE NexantECA at relevant industry conferences and networking events in Dubai and across the region.
  • Begin building a professional network across the MEA energy ecosystem as the foundation for your long-term commercial career.
