Job Description

The Sales Assistant for Sports 10N25 is a vital part of our dynamic team, responsible for supporting the sales department in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales in the sports division. This role involves a blend of customer interaction, inventory management, and sales support. As a Sales Assistant, you will assist customers with product inquiries, provide recommendations to enhance their shopping experience, and ensure that the sales floor is well-stocked and organized. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in sports, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities

  • Assist customers in locating products and provide detailed product information.
  • Maintain a neat, organized, and fully stocked sales floor at all times.
  • Process sales transactions accurately using point of sale (POS) systems.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Support the sales team in reaching their monthly sales targets and goals.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated on product knowledge.
  • Monitor inventory levels and report low-stock or out-of-stock items promptly.
  • Provide feedback to the management team about customer preferences and trends.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to support promotional activities and events.
  • Handle customer complaints and inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures regarding sales operations.
  • Assist in setting up and taking down promotional displays and signing.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification is required.
  • Proven experience as a Sales Assistant or other retail sales positions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
  • Basic understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
  • Familiarity with inventory procedures and basic data entry skills preferred.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Must possess a genuine interest in sports and sports-related products.
