Role Overview

The Account Executive will be responsible for driving new business, managing strategic client relationships, and expanding revenue across the MENA region (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Jordan).

The ideal candidate is energetic, extroverted, and passionate, with strong relationship-building skills and a desire to grow their sales career. This role is designed with a clear growth path and has the potential to advance into a senior leadership or Head role for high performers.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Identify, target, and close new business opportunities within assigned territories across the MENA region. Build a pipeline of qualified prospects through outbound prospecting, networking, and inbound lead follow-up. Leverage LinkedIn Sales Navigator, industry events, and referral networks to source opportunities. Develop a deep understanding of the region's digital transformation initiatives, particularly in Saudi Arabia (Vision 2030) and the UAE.

Client Relationships

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to executives and decision-makers. Understand client needs and position our solutions as the ideal fit for their compliance and fraud-prevention challenges. Conduct regular check-ins and business reviews with existing clients to drive retention and expansion. Relationship-building is critical in the MENA business culture, and you should be comfortable with in-person meetings and relationship-driven sales approaches.

Sales Execution

  • Own the full sales cycle – from prospecting to contract negotiation and deal closure. Run discovery calls, product demonstrations, proposals, and negotiations. Accurately forecast deal progression and maintain clean, up-to-date records in the CRM.

Revenue Growth

  • Consistently achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas. Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts. Contribute to regional revenue targets and portfolio growth.

Market Expansion

  • Drive penetration into key MENA markets including UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Jordan. Understand regional market dynamics, compliance requirements, and the competitive landscape. Adapt your sales approach to different cultural and business environments. Stay informed about national digital identity initiatives and regulatory developments across the region.

Industry Networking

  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities across the MENA region to strengthen our brand presence. Build a personal brand as a trusted resource in the RegTech and identity verification space.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and maximize client value. Provide feedback to product teams on market needs and competitive intelligence. Work with customer success to ensure smooth handoffs and client onboarding.

Reporting & Forecasting

  • Provide accurate pipeline forecasts, sales reports, and account strategies to leadership. Maintain clean CRM records with up-to-date opportunity stages and notes. Communicate wins, losses, and learnings to help refine sales strategies.

Key Requirements

Mandatory SaaS or IT Experience

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 3+ years of experience selling SaaS, IT solutions, or technology products. This is a strict requirement — candidates without demonstrated SaaS or IT sales experience will not be considered. Your resume should clearly highlight your experience selling technology solutions, software platforms, or IT products.

Sales Experience & Track Record

  • You should have 4–6+ years of total sales or account management experience. You must have a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and experience closing mid-market to enterprise deals. You should be comfortable with outbound prospecting and building your own pipeline from scratch.

Preferred Industry Experience

  • While not mandatory, experience in RegTech, FinTech, compliance, banking, or cybersecurity is highly desirable. Experience selling identity verification, KYC/AML, or fraud prevention solutions is a plus. Experience selling into financial services, government, or technology sectors is also advantageous. Knowledge of the Islamic finance sector is a strong plus.

Skills & Attributes

  • We are looking for someone energetic and extroverted, with excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. You should have a charismatic and passionate approach to sales. You must be a strong relationship builder who can connect with executives and decision-makers. As a self-starter, you should be able to thrive in a fast-paced, scaling environment with minimal supervision. You should also be adaptable and comfortable navigating complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders. Being tech-savvy is essential — you must understand technology sales cycles and be able to articulate technical value propositions to non-technical buyers.

Geographic Knowledge

  • Deep understanding of the MENA region, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Jordan. Knowledge of local business cultures, decision-making processes, and regulatory environments is required. You should be willing to travel within the region for client meetings and events, approximately 20–30% of the time.

Languages

Fluent English is required. Arabic is highly preferred for effective regional market coverage. Knowledge of French is a plus for North African markets.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to own and grow strategic markets across the MENA region
  • Competitive compensation package with uncapped commissions and performance incentives
  • A fast-paced, high-growth environment with clear advancement opportunities
  • Collaborative, energetic, and innovation-driven culture
  • Mentorship and support to help you grow into senior leadership roles

Nice to Have (But Not Required)

  • Existing network within financial services, fintech, banking, or government sectors in the MENA region
  • Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot, Salesforce, etc.)
  • Understanding of Islamic finance and Sharia-compliant financial products
  • Knowledge of national digital identity initiatives across the region
  • Experience selling into regulated industries
