Safety Specialist - Emirates Flight Training Academy

Job Purpose

First-of-its-kind training facility in Dubai, the Emirates Flight Training Academy (EFTA) is located in Dubai South, Dubai World Central (DWC). With its unique facilities and resources, Emirates Flight Training Academy offers the opportunity to learn to fly in the most advanced flight training academy in the world.

Our fully-operational flight operations centre is dedicated to Emirates Flight Training Academy cadets only, making flight training part of everyday life at the Academy. This means you will have the opportunity to gain a complete operational experience in one holistic environment.

As a Safety Specialist in Emirates Flight Training Academy, you will support and enhance Emirates Flight Training Academys Safety Management System by planning, managing, and delivering key safety activities including audits, investigations, risk assessments, and safety promotion. The role ensures compliance with legal and organisational safety standards through expert advice, data analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to a proactive and effective safety culture across the organisation.

In This Role, You Will

• Process filed safety reports using the corresponding reporting tool, prepare audit and investigation reports, and ensure follow-up and validation of corrective actions to reduce safety risks.
• Plan, manage, and conduct safety management activities including hazard identification, risk assessments, safety audits, incident investigations, and safety promotion to ensure a proactive safety culture.
• Provide expert guidance to ensure compliance with EFTA’s safety policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements across the organisation.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of safety strategies and techniques, supporting continuous improvement within the Safety Management System (SMS).
• Also, you will act as a subject matter expert (SME) for the audit module within the safety data system, supporting system development, user training, and participation in system testing.
• And implement and support SMS methodologies, including Safety Risk Management (SRM) and Safety Performance Monitoring (SPM), and provide relevant SMS training to staff.
  
  

Qualification

To be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:

• Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent in Aviation or Safety Management or 12 yrs of schooling or equivalent).
• 8+ yrs in an Aviation Environment
• Competent in SMS implementation and oversight, including planning and managing safety audits, inspections, reporting, incident investigation, and emergency response planning (ERP) within the aviation sector.
• Strong ability to produce and interpret safety documentation, manuals, policies, and reports.
