Safety Officer 07N25

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Safety Officer to join our team. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of all employees within the company. The Safety Officer will play a crucial role in creating and enforcing procedures that protect our employees from potential hazards on the job. You'll be expected to perform risk assessments, facilitate training sessions, and collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety. Your goal will be to ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and to implement best practices to minimize workplace accidents and incidents.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe workplace.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on site to identify potential hazards.
• Design and deliver training programs to educate employees on safety protocols.
• Investigate and report on workplace accidents and incidents promptly.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate safety standards and guidelines.
• Collaborate with management to address safety concerns and implement improvements.
• Maintain accurate safety records and reports for audits and inspections.
• Evaluate and recommend safety equipment and personal protective gear for employees.
• Monitor changes in safety regulations and suggest necessary adjustments in policies.
• Act as a liaison with local authorities and emergency services in case of accidents.
• Promote a culture of safety through ongoing communication and employee engagement.
• Develop emergency response plans and coordinate emergency drills and exercises.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Safety Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years experience working as a Safety Officer or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA safety guidelines and regulations.
• Excellent communication skills for conducting training and writing reports.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple safety projects concurrently.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) credential is preferred.
