Job Description

The Safety Officer, identified with the code 05D25, plays a critical role in ensuring the well-being of all employees and visitors within a company or organization.   • Evaluate current safety protocols and suggest improvements based on best practices.
  • Prepare detailed reports on safety inspections and investigations for senior management.
  • Stay informed on legal regulations and maintain compliance with all safety-related laws.
  • Lead accident investigations and recommend corrective measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Act as a point of contact for employees regarding safety concerns and questions.
  • Coordinate emergency procedures and drills to ensure staff readiness in a crisis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a safety officer or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and legal guidelines is necessary.
  • Excellent communication and training skills to educate staff about safety procedures.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and develop practical solutions quickly.
  • Certification from Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) preferred.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant safety management tools.
