We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Safety Inspector to join our team. As a Safety Inspector, you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that all safety procedures and regulations are rigorously followed and enforced. You will be responsible for inspecting job sites, machinery, and equipment to identify hazards and ensure compliance with local, federal, and industry safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management and a keen eye for detail, coupled with excellent problem-solving skills. Your role will be essential in minimizing health and safety risks, fostering a culture of safety, and ensuring that our workplace environment supports the well-being of all employees.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of work areas to identify current or potential hazards.
• Review and ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations and standards.
• Analyze accident reports and injury logs to identify trends and bring forth solutions.
• Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and training for employees.
• Recommend corrective actions and follow up on safety deficiencies and violations.
• Establish safety standards and policies and promote employee awareness of safety standards.
• Review incident reports and conduct investigations to establish causes and prevent reoccurrences.
• Collaborate with management and safety teams to enhance safety procedures and systems.
• Maintain records of inspection findings, actions taken, and safety training conducted.
• Facilitate risk assessments and hazards analysis collaboratively with site teams.
• Advise project teams during site setup to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Stay updated on new regulations, standards, and safety protocols in the industry.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health, safety management, or related field.
• Minimum of three years’ experience in a safety inspector or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, policies, and procedures within the industry.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to identify potential safety risks effectively.
• Proficient in drafting detailed safety inspection reports and documentation.
• Excellent communication skills for clear interaction with teams and management.
• Certifications such as OSHA or related safety training accreditations preferred.
