Job Description

As a Safety Inspector, code 13N25, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and fostering a culture of safety within the organization. Your keen eye for detail and thorough understanding of safety protocols will be instrumental in identifying potential hazards, conducting inspections, and implementing corrective actions. You will collaborate with various departments to promote safe work environments and minimize risks. Your expertise in regulatory standards and passion for safety will contribute to protecting the well-being of employees, property, and the community. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong commitment to continuous improvement in safety practices.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive safety inspections to identify potential hazards and non-compliance.
  • Develop and implement safety policies and procedures aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate safety and health policies to management, supervisors, and employees.
  • Investigate workplace accidents and incidents to determine causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Prepare and submit detailed safety reports with findings and recommendations for improvement.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety audits for all departmental processes and equipment.
  • Provide safety training and education programs to employees at all organizational levels.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with the safety team to develop emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Monitor workplace conditions, facilities, and equipment for adherence to safety standards.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current safety legislation and industry best practices.
  • Support the implementation of corrective actions to mitigate identified safety risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in safety inspection or related role.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and other safety compliance standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for clear safety guidance.
  • Ability to conduct detailed inspections and create comprehensive safety reports.
  • Proficient in using safety management software and standard office applications.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple safety projects.
