Role Overview

The Runner plays a key support role within the Front of House team, ensuring smooth and efficient service by delivering food and beverages promptly and assisting service staff during operations. The role contributes directly to guest satisfaction by maintaining speed, accuracy, and presentation standards.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver food and beverage orders from the kitchen or service stations to guests’ tables in a timely and professional manner
• Ensure correct presentation, temperature, and accuracy of all items before serving
• Support waitstaff during peak hours by assisting with table setup, clearing, and resetting
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, service stations, and pass areas
• Communicate effectively with kitchen and service teams regarding order status and guest requests
• Assist in replenishing supplies such as cutlery, napkins, condiments, and menus
• Follow all hygiene, safety, and food handling standards in line with company policies
• Handle guest interactions politely and professionally, escalating concerns to supervisors when needed
• Support overall restaurant operations to ensure a seamless guest experience
  
  

• Previous experience in hospitality or food & beverage service is an advantage
• Basic understanding of food service and hospitality standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Well-groomed appearance and professional attitude
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards is preferred
