Job Description

As a Retail Sales Officer, you will play a pivotal role in our retail operations, focusing on delivering an exceptional customer experience while meeting sales targets. Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly, creating a positive and welcoming store atmosphere.

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of current sales promotions and actively communicate them.
  • Ensure the sales floor is orderly, stock levels are adequate, and displays are visually appealing.
  • Achieve sales objectives by actively engaging with customers and upselling products.
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and provide comprehensive support and assistance.
  • Manage transactions using point-of-sale systems, handling cash and card payments securely.
  • Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
  • Monitor inventory levels to prompt timely orders and ensure product availability.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to achieve departmental and overall business goals.
  • Provide training and support to new sales staff, sharing expertise and best practices.
  • Participate in regular stocktakes, ensuring accurate reporting and inventory management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a retail sales or customer service environment is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interactions.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a busy retail setting.
  • Ability to remain professional and courteous at all times with customers and team members.
  • Proficiency in using point-of-sale systems and handling financial transactions accurately.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification is required for consideration.
