Retail Banking Officer - Home Loan UAE Nationals

As a Retail Banking Officer – Home Loan at Emirates NBD, you will support the growth of the bank’s home loan business in the UAE by identifying suitable customers and guiding them through the application process. Reporting to the Sales Manager in an individual contributor role, you will explain product features and requirements, collect accurate customer information and documentation, follow applications through to their outcome, and provide timely updates. Product, system, sales and compliance training will be provided before you work independently. Previous banking experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective home loan customers through approved channels, referrals, campaigns and direct outreach, including approved developers and real-estate partners.
• Understand customer needs for financing the purchase or refinancing of eligible residential properties, and clearly explain home loan features, eligibility criteria, pricing, fees and key obligations.
• Work toward assigned sales and conversion targets while prioritizing customer suitability, fair treatment, application quality, and bank and regulatory requirements.
• Collect and check customer information and supporting documents, submit complete applications, and follow up through to the outcome.
• Provide timely application updates, respond to routine customer enquiries, and promptly escalate complaints or issues.
• Work with customers, developers or brokers, and valuation, credit, legal, operations, insurance and disbursement teams to support eligible home loans through approval, booking and disbursement once all required conditions have been fulfilled.
• Identify suitable opportunities for other banking products and make referrals through approved channels.
• Follow all KYC, AML, sanctions, fraud-prevention, data-privacy and customer-consent requirements.
• Maintain accurate lead, sales activity and application records, and complete all mandatory training and certifications.
• Observe role boundaries: do not make credit approval decisions or promise approval, pricing, limits, valuation results or completion dates. Product assignment may change after the required training and certification.
  
  

Qualifications

• A high school diploma as a minimum; a bachelor’s degree or equivalent recognized qualification also meets the education requirement.
• Previous banking experience is not required. Experience in customer service, sales, internships, projects or extracurricular activities can be helpful.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills, with confidence in approaching customers and explaining information accurately.
• Comfort with basic calculations, digital forms, email and data entry.
• A responsible, organized and customer-focused approach, with attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Integrity, respect for confidentiality and willingness to raise concerns about potential issues.
• Willingness to learn applicant and property documentation, affordability, property valuation, down payment, legal and insurance requirements, and the disbursement process through the training provided.
