As a Retail Associate in General Retail, you will be the primary point of contact for customers, helping them with their purchases and providing outstanding service to enhance their shopping experience. You will be responsible for maintaining the store’s overall presentation, assisting with merchandise loading and organizing, and ensuring that prices and features of products are clearly marked. The role requires strong communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key part in driving sales and ensuring customer satisfaction to enhance brand loyalty.

Responsibilities

• Greet and engage customers, offering assistance and responding to inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales promotions, store policies, and loyalty programs to inform customers accurately.
• Organize and replenish merchandise, ensuring that product displays are tidy and visually appealing.
• Assist with stock management including unpacking, storing, and restocking inventory as needed.
• Process transactions efficiently using the store’s point-of-sale system, ensuring accuracy and security.
• Participate in periodic inventory counts and assist with reconciling discrepancies.
• Monitor and address potential theft or security risks in accordance with store policy.
• Provide feedback to managers on customer demands and business trends to assist in stock decisions.
• Collaborate with team members to meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
• Maintain a cleanliness standard by participating in the upkeep of store fixtures and materials.
• Handle customer complaints with professionalism, seeking assistance when necessary.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required for this position.
• Prior experience in a retail environment is preferred but not mandatory.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during store hours.
• Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions and stock inventories.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and reliability.
