As Resource Allocator, you will have to provide a resource allocation plan by allocating key operational resources including staff, equipment and facilities to ensure optimum utilisation of resources on shift.
In This Role You Will
Pre-plans the allocation 24-72 hours in advance of the shift based on the expected demands, schedules and rostered resources to ensure that the department specific demands and timetables are met
Plans the allocations for the shift which is done either during, prior or at the start of the shift to ensure that the allocation of the resources is updated and meets the shift plan.
Conducts real-time allocation taking into accounting the availability of resources by monitoring the achievement of tasks and adapt the allocation plans according to the unscheduled demands of the customers
Complies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
Actively provides input and direction in order to respond to dynamic changes during the shift, in cases of staff sickness or absence actively reviews allocation plans and makes recommendations to SDMs as to whether replacement or over-time is required. Undertake actions as agreed to update the administrative section of the changes actioned.
Communicates the resource allocation plan to the resources (either directly or via the operational shift in charge) and continually monitors the progress of the assigned tasks.
Monitors the effectiveness of the allocation plan and continually provides feedback recommendations regarding roster solutions and resource engagement standards to the relevant shift Managers.
Keeps up-to-date on the service and resource levels agreed by the departments, through co-ordination with the relevant standards & procedures staff, line managers and supervisors.
Coordinates with resource planning and IT, to ensure that the decision support systems deliver functional results and are configured in-line with the operational needs.
Provides proper handover when the shift ends to ensure that the allocation plan and shift duties are effectively communicated.
Qualification
To be considered for this role, you should meet the below requirements:
Bachelors degree or Diploma in Aviation or Ground handling
Experience of 2-4 years in an operational resource allocation, shift management or overtime planning is preferred
Good command of spoken and written English communication
Mandatory and Regulatory courses in line with dnata Learning Path. (Line Manager to mention the details while advertising for the role)
Knowledge/experience in GSE/Aircraft Appearances activities
Excellent analytical skills and ability to quickly respond to dynamic changes during the shift.
Proficient communication skills (both written and verbal) Advanced computer skills with an awareness of specialist applications, packages, programmed languages and high
