Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

Chartered Engineering will be an added advantage.

Minimum of 15–20 years of relevant construction and site supervision experience.

Strong knowledge of construction methods, engineering standards, and local authority regulations.

Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and project priorities.

Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001) and HSE requirements.

Valid Dubai Municipality (DM) Unlimited License is advantage

Strong knowledge of FIDIC Conditions of Contract, contract administration, claims management, and project delivery procedures.

Business Development

Develop a network of contacts on each contract. Concentrate on developing a unified commitment of excellence in dealing with site and design team colleagues.

Project Role

• Implement Consultancy’s QA/QC procedures at site.
• Do Final Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals.
• Conduct regular site visit with client contractor monitoring progress and quality related issues ( if any).
• Issue site instructions, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and progress certifications.
• Chair weekly site progress meetings and review weekly/monthly progress reports from contractor.
• Ensure coordination among all disciplines and stakeholders.
• Proposing, mentoring, managing, and appraising staff members within the project team and organizing their responsibilities.
• Monitoring performance and taking necessary measures to ensure effective contribution towards the project’s objectives.
• Addressing and replying to project letters and correspondences.
• Establishing internal weekly meetings to review project status and formulate action plans.
• Scheduling and organising suitable meeting strategies, ensuring key topics such as kick-off meetings, progress meetings, submittals, quality, safety, and coordination meetings are addressed.
• Reviewing and approving the Project Quality Plan (PQP) submitted by the contractor.
• Reviewing contractor resources and methodology and assigning project engineers and inspectors as required.
• Assisting the project controls department in assessing the impact of changes during construction.
• Identifying potential variances impacting milestone dates and initiating remedial measures.
• Participating in the preparation of monthly reports and internal tracker sheets.
• Initiating the process and overseeing procedures for obtaining permits, NOCs, and completion certificates from authorities.
• Conducting site walks with the Client, contractor, and QS team
• Managing and controlling site safety measures in coordination with safety professionals
• Validating claims for processing and replying.

• Contribute to the development of company procedures by taking an active role in task groups.
• Attend team meetings and play an active role in the development of procedures within your team.
• Review and comment on company procedures using the feedback system.

• Agree design philosophy/design fundamentals.
• Review and comment on deliverables produced by Engineers & Technicians at key stages through a project.
• Demonstrates all round technical competence.
• Have knowledge of concept design, buildability, detailed design, construction techniques, procurement routes, risk assessment and claim assessment.
• Have knowledge of analytical concepts.
• Should be responsible for Quality Management (QA) for their team.
• Have knowledge of our delivery in CAD standards and 3D working.
  

• Understand, implement and follow 9E QHSE policies.
• Implement and coordinate QHSE procedures in your workplace.
• Comply with local regulatory authority guidelines and laws pertaining to QHSE.
• Report any QHSE incidents immediately to 9E QHSE Dept. and to legal authorities if required.
• Abide Client/Contractor QHSE requirements and acquire site induction before mobilizing at sites.
