Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Reservations Agent and play an integral role in providing exceptional service to our clientele. As a Reservations Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, managing inquiries and reservations with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to customer satisfaction. You will utilize our reservation system to book accommodations and provide guests with information necessary to enhance their experience. The ideal candidate will be proactive, with outstanding communication skills and the ability to anticipate the needs of our clientele. Your goal will be to maximize room occupancy and revenue while ensuring guest satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to reservation inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms.
  • Accurately input, modify, and cancel reservations in the booking system.
  • Provide detailed information about accommodation types, amenities, and local attractions.
  • Assess guests' needs and preferences to offer personalized booking recommendations.
  • Handle last-minute booking requests and accommodate special needs as required.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth guest arrival and departure processes.
  • Monitor room inventory to manage room availability and optimize bookings.
  • Process payment transactions and send confirmation to guests through email.
  • Resolve guest complaints with professionalism and provide effective solutions.
  • Follow up with guests post-stay to secure feedback and encourage return visits.
  • Compile and report daily, weekly, and monthly booking statistics to management.
  • Maintain updated records of bookings, cancellations, and modifications.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in hospitality is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in a reservations or customer service role preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle difficult situations calmly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and reservation management systems.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for providing excellent service.
