Job Description

The role of Relationship Officer in Corporate Banking is critical to fostering and managing the long-term relationships with corporate clients. You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of corporates and providing tailored banking financial solutions to meet their unique needs. Your role involves understanding the industry dynamics, providing market insights, and delivering exceptional client service to maintain and enhance account profitability. This position requires a proactive approach to maximizing opportunities for existing and new accounts by understanding their financial needs and recommending appropriate products and services. You will work collaboratively with various departments within the bank to ensure seamless delivery and execution of corporate banking services.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key corporate banking clients.
  • Identify and generate new business opportunities within the corporate banking sector.
  • Provide expert advice and tailored banking solutions to corporate clients.
  • Monitor and manage the performance of assigned corporate client accounts.
  • Collaborate with credit risk teams to ensure clients meet financial criteria.
  • Prepare and present structured proposals and client presentations regularly.
  • Ensure all client activities comply with regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Act as the point of contact for client inquiries and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Enhance client relationships by providing regular updates on policies and trends.
  • Utilize market analysis to identify new growth opportunities for the bank.
  • Work with internal teams to develop innovative products and solutions.
  • Track market developments and provide insights to clients and management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in corporate banking or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of corporate banking products and financial concepts.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential for this role.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage client relationships effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant banking software applications.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess a strong network within the corporate banking community.
