Job Description

The Relationship Officer in Corporate Banking plays a pivotal role in developing and nurturing relationships with key corporate clients. This position involves collaborating closely with business clients to understand their banking needs and tailoring services to meet those needs effectively. The Relationship Officer acts as a liaison between the bank and its corporate clients, ensuring that the clients' financial needs are addressed and that they are offered the appropriate banking products and services. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of corporate finance, and the ability to drive client growth and retention. The successful candidate will be proactive, client-focused, and possess a strategic mindset to identify and seize new business opportunities for the bank.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing corporate clients of the bank.
  • Identify and pursue potential new corporate clients through strategic outreach efforts.
  • Analyze clients' financial statements to accurately assess their borrowing requirements.
  • Customize banking solutions and services to fit the specific needs of corporate clients.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless delivery of banking services to clients.
  • Monitor and manage the credit exposure and risk for corporate banking clients.
  • Prepare detailed reports on client accounts and report to senior management regularly.
  • Provide clients with guidance on the bank's policies, contributing to stronger relationships.
  • Participate in marketing and networking events to promote corporate banking services.
  • Play an active role in client onboarding processes and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Gather feedback from clients to improve banking services and enhance client satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement client plans to meet their financial and banking needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in corporate banking or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining client relationships successfully.
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts while maintaining high service standards.
  • Deep understanding of banking regulations and compliance requirements in corporate banking.
