Relationship Managers in the Large Corporates segment play a pivotal role in strengthening the bank's position with key corporate clients by delivering tailored financial solutions that drive client satisfaction and sustainable revenue growth. Leveraging deep product knowledge and sound judgment, the role navigates complex client requirements and resolves business-as-usual issues within established policies, ensuring seamless execution and risk mitigation. By proactively managing client portfolios and collaborating across associated units, the Relationship Manager ensures the bank's offerings remain relevant and competitive, directly supporting the unit's commercial objectives. The role's guidance and coordination with colleagues and clients underpin the delivery of high-quality service and contribute to the broader goals of the Corporate Banking division.

Requires minimum 5 years of relationship management or corporate banking experience with exposure to large corporates, including use of CRM systems and core banking platforms.

  • Analyse client portfolios to identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities aligned with business priorities and client needs.
  • Develop relationship plans that anticipate client requirements and position the bank's full suite of products and services.
  • Engage regularly with clients to understand evolving business strategies and ensure continued relevance of banking solutions.
  • Coordinate with product partners and credit teams to structure and deliver bespoke solutions that maximise client value.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and initiate corrective actions to address revenue leakage or attrition risks.
  • Growth in wallet share and fee income from managed client portfolio
  • Retention rate of key corporate clients year-on-year
  • Client feedback on relationship value and solution relevance
  • Credit risk quality and portfolio resilience for assigned corporates
  • Conduct rigorous credit assessments and periodic reviews in line with internal risk appetite and regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and present high-quality credit proposals, ensuring robust risk analysis and mitigation strategies are articulated.
  • Monitor early warning indicators and collaborate with credit and risk teams to address emerging concerns proactively.
  • Advise clients on optimal capital structures and risk management solutions to strengthen their financial resilience.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation to support audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
  • Quality and approval rate of credit submissions
  • Absence of material credit losses or regulatory breaches in managed portfolio
  • Timeliness of risk reviews and escalation of potential issues
  • Client onboarding and KYC compliance in accordance with regulatory and internal standards
  • Oversee end-to-end onboarding for new and existing clients, ensuring all documentation meets KYC and AML requirements.
  • Collaborate with compliance and operations teams to resolve onboarding bottlenecks and expedite account activation.
  • Educate clients on regulatory obligations and support them in fulfilling periodic review requirements.
  • Continuously update client records to reflect changes in ownership, structure, or risk profile.
  • Champion adherence to data privacy and conduct risk protocols throughout the client lifecycle.
  • Accuracy and completeness of client onboarding files
  • Regulatory audit outcomes related to KYC/AML compliance
  • Client satisfaction with onboarding experience
  • Client satisfaction and service delivery excellence across all touchpoints
  • Act as primary point of contact for client queries, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of service issues.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to deliver seamless transaction execution and post-deal support.
  • Solicit and act on client feedback to drive continuous improvement in service standards.
  • Facilitate client access to digital banking platforms and support adoption of new technologies.
  • Escalate complex service challenges to appropriate units, ensuring accountability for resolution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration or related field
  • Professional certification such as Certified Credit Professional (CCP) or equivalent preferred
  • Ongoing CPD in regulatory compliance and digital banking trends
