Job Purpose
- Manage and grow a portfolio of Financial Institution (FI) clients across Eastern Europe ensuring strong relationship coverage at senior levels
- Originate and execute FI business across the full product suite, including GTB, IB and TGM
- Drive asset growth, deposit generation, trade flows, FX flows, and cross-sell opportunities in line with annual business targets.
- Ensure proactive client engagement, effective follow-up on all action points, and smooth coordination with internal stakeholders.
- Position the bank as a leading FI partner in the region through strong relationship management, product expertise, and market knowledge.

Key Result Areas
- Develop and execute the FI business strategy and annual budget for the assigned region.
- Build and maintain strong senior-level relationships with key banks and NBFIs, ensuring consistent engagement and market visibility.
- Originate new business across GTB, IB, and TGM while ensuring high-quality pipeline management and conversion.
- Ensure the portfolio complies with credit, compliance, sanctions, and operational requirements specific to high-risk jurisdictions.
- Monitor regional economic, regulatory, geopolitical and banking sector developments, and manage cross-border exposure accordingly.
- Deliver high-quality presentations, pitches, and funding proposals tailored to client needs.
- Resolve client issues—especially in payments, onboarding, compliance and operational processes—ensuring timely and satisfactory outcomes.
- Strengthen the bank’s AED clearing, FX, trade finance and DCM franchise in the region.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams (Risk, Compliance, Legal, GTB, Treasury, IB) to support smooth execution of deals and mandates.
- Maintain and expand the bank’s market share through strategic business development and deep institutional relationships.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in FI coverage across Eastern Europe
- Strong and established network of senior contacts within leading banks and NBFIs in the region.
- Deep knowledge of GTB, Trade Finance, Treasury & Markets, Syndications, and DCM products, including client use-cases and regional needs.
- Strong understanding of compliance, sanctions, KYC/AML requirements and regulatory environments across high-risk or complex jurisdictions.
- Proven track record of generating revenues, growing assets and liabilities, and delivering multi-product cross-sell.
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills, with confidence in engaging senior executives and decision-makers.
- Strong presentation skills; capable of preparing and delivering pitches and product proposals independently.
- High level of problem-solving ability, with a proactive approach to resolving client issues and internal escalations.
- Solid credit analysis skills and understanding of FI risk dynamics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Economics or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Fluency in English required; Russian or other regional languages are a strong advantage.
