Responsibilities

• Monitor the health and progress of mothers and newborns post-delivery.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by doctors and specialists.
• Provide education and support to new mothers regarding newborn care.
• Assist in labor and delivery procedures as required by obstetricians.
• Maintain accurate patient records and document observations diligently.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
• Perform routine assessments and respond promptly to any emergencies.
• Offer emotional support and reassurance to mothers during their stay.
• Facilitate family-centered care practices to enhance patient satisfaction.
• Conduct newborn screenings and coordinate any necessary follow-ups.
• Ensure compliance with health regulations and facility protocols.
• Participate in continuous education and training programs on maternal care.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license recognized by Dubai Health Authority (DHA).
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a maternity or similar ward setting.
• Proficient in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in high-pressure environments effectively.
• Comprehensive understanding of maternity and newborn care practices.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach with high attention to detail.
• Willingness to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends.
