Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Critical Care unit. In this role, you will provide specialized care for patients experiencing severe and life-threatening conditions. Our unit operates in a fast-paced environment that requires quick thinking, resilience, and a strong commitment to patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for closely monitoring patients, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Monitor and assess the condition of critically ill patients continuously.
  • Administer medications, including intravenous drugs, as per protocols.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care.
  • Operate and maintain critical medical equipment with expertise.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans effectively.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and communicate results to the medical team.
  • Respond promptly to changes in patient conditions with appropriate interventions.
  • Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans and care procedures.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records and documentation consistently.
  • Participate in rounds and medical team conferences regularly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Adhere to all safety, infection control, and privacy regulations rigorously.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse license in the relevant state or jurisdiction.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience working in a critical care unit or equivalent.
  • Certification in critical care nursing (CCRN) or commitment to obtain within one year.
  • Strong ability to manage stressful situations and make quick decisions effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills critical for patient interaction.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and medical documentation.
