Job Description

The Registered Nurse for Aesthetic Surgery is a pivotal component in delivering exceptional patient care and clinical support in the field of cosmetic surgery. As part of a highly skilled medical team, the RN will manage and oversee pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing aesthetic procedures. This role involves direct patient interaction, maintaining sterile environments, and working closely with surgeons to ensure optimal outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of clinical expertise and administrative skills, ensuring that both the emotional and medical needs of patients are met. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for enhancing patient experiences in a setting focused on transformative aesthetic procedures.


Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care to aesthetic surgery patients.
  • Assist surgeons during aesthetic procedures, maintaining a sterile and efficient environment.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and manage any complications during recovery.
  • Educate patients on post-operative care and instructions for optimal recovery.
  • Coordinate with surgical teams to ensure preparation of operating rooms and equipment.
  • Document all patient interactions and updates in electronic health records accurately.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the surgical teams.
  • Perform initial consultations and assessments to determine patient suitability for surgery.
  • Support patient emotional needs by providing empathetic and understanding communication.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of aesthetic procedures and recovery protocols.
  • Implement and follow established surgical and infection control protocols within the clinic.
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and liaise with other healthcare professionals as needed.

Requirements

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the respective country or state of practice.
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in surgical or aesthetic nursing preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records and standard medical documentation practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage patient care efficiently.
