Job Description

A Registered Nurse (RN) plays a vital role in the healthcare system, providing essential care and support to patients in various settings such as hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and community health environments. This position requires a compassionate individual with the skills to assess patients' health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for administering medications, monitoring patient recovery, and educating patients and their families about medical conditions and treatments. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care and must be prepared to manage emergency situations with a calm and decisive approach. The role necessitates strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities

  • Assess patients' health conditions and identify relevant care requirements.
  • Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans for patients.
  • Coordinate with physicians and healthcare professionals for comprehensive patient care.
  • Administer medications to patients and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records for follow-up and progress checks.
  • Educate patients and their families on health management and disease prevention.
  • Observe and interpret patients' symptoms and communicate findings to physicians.
  • Provide emotional and psychological support to patients and their families.
  • Prepare patients for and assist with diagnostic tests and medical procedures.
  • Ensure the correct operation of medical equipment and report any malfunction.
  • Identify life-threatening symptoms and initiate appropriate emergency interventions.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of healthcare policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • A valid nursing license from an accredited nursing school or program.
  • A minimum of an associate degree or diploma in Nursing is required.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing care processes and healthcare best practices.
  • Excellent ability to remain calm and efficient under stress or emergency situations.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with patients and staff.
  • Proficiency in using healthcare software for documentation and record-keeping.
  • Willingness to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
