Job Description

A Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital healthcare professional responsible for delivering patient care, providing a broad range of health services, and acting as critical support in patient recovery processes. RNs work in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, long-term care facilities, and private homes. They play an essential role as frontline care providers, recognized for their expert medical knowledge, compassion, and effectiveness in patient advocacy. Registered Nurses assess health needs, develop treatment plans, and implement nursing interventions. With an emphasis on patient education, RNs also inform patients and families about health management plans while fostering a therapeutic environment. Utilizing a blend of critical thinking and evidence-based practice, RNs contribute to improving patient outcomes and driving positive changes in healthcare delivery systems.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments to identify patients’ health issues and needs.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for each patient.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders.
  • Monitor patients’ vital signs and behaviors, documenting changes or concerns promptly.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver an integrated care approach.
  • Educate patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
  • Operate and monitor medical equipment during patient assessments and treatments.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards consistently.
  • Support patients emotionally, providing comfort and reassurance throughout the care process.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
  • Advocate for patient needs, ensuring they receive quality and respectful care services.

Requirements

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
  • Bachelor's or associate degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Proven experience in a clinical setting, demonstrating excellent nursing skills.
  • Strong ethical considerations and commitment to patient confidentiality practices.
  • Proficient in using medical software and electronic health records management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-focused approach.
  • Ability to respond quickly and effectively in high-pressure or emergency situations.
