Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive prenatal and postnatal care to patients under your supervision.
• Monitor maternal and fetal health throughout the pregnancy stages effectively.

• Offer emotional support and guidance to mothers during labor and delivery.
• Assist with the delivery process, ensuring safe practices are maintained.
• Educate patients about infant care, breastfeeding, and postnatal health issues.
• Collaborate closely with obstetricians and other healthcare professionals as needed.
• Document patient information accurately and maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Handle emergencies during childbirth with efficiency and professionalism.
• Promote patient education and awareness programs within the community.
• Conduct risk assessments to anticipate potential complications during childbirth.
• Participate in continuous professional development and training opportunities.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid DHA license to practice as a Registered Midwife.
• Hold a degree in Midwifery or a related healthcare qualification from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated experience in providing maternal and newborn care effectively.
• Proficient in handling birthing equipment and conducting prenatal screenings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful situations calmly.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
