Regional Customer Director – Lifestyle (Consumer, Retail & Fashion)

The Regional Customer Director for the Lifestyle sector (Consumer, Retail & Fashion) is responsible for driving strategic growth, customer engagement, and commercial excellence across the MEA region. This role leads key customer relationships, shapes sector strategy, and ensures DHL delivers innovative, sustainable, and efficient logistics solutions tailored to the evolving needs of lifestyle brands, retailers, e-commerce players, and fashion houses.
In this Role Profile: Regional Customer Director – Lifestyle (Consumer, Retail & Fashion) Position
Sector Strategy & Business Development
- Develop and execute the MEA sector strategy for Consumer, Retail & Fashion.
- Identify growth opportunities across lifestyle brands, retail chains, e-commerce platforms, and fashion customers.
- Lead go-to-market initiatives focused on omnichannel retail, e-commerce fulfilment, sustainable logistics, and supply chain optimization.
Customer Relationship Leadership
- Serve as executive sponsor for high-value lifestyle sector customers.
- Lead strategic engagement with senior stakeholders and C-level decision-makers.
- Oversee account planning, business reviews, and long-term customer development.
Revenue & Profit Growth
- Own delivery of revenue, Gross Margin (GM), and EBIT targets for the sector.
- Drive cross-product growth across Express, Freight, Supply Chain, and eCommerce solutions.
- Lead strategic tenders, bidding processes, and commercial governance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Operations, Product, E-commerce, Finance, and Solution Design teams.
- Support creation of innovative supply chain solutions, including last-mile delivery, returns management, warehousing, and end-to-end visibility.
- Ensure that customer requirements are translated into operational excellence.
Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with commercial governance, pricing frameworks, and contractual obligations.
- Support risk assessment, service recovery, and improvement actions for lifestyle customers.
- Champion sustainable logistics, digitalization, and customer innovation initiatives.
Leadership & Sector Capability Development
- Build sector knowledge across the region through training and capability-building.
- Represent MEA in global Lifestyle sector forums and initiatives.
- Influence regional and country teams to drive execution of sector strategy

- 8–12 years in commercial, supply chain, e-commerce, retail, or fashion logistics roles.
- Proven success in managing strategic lifestyle or retail customers.
- Experience in matrixed multinational environments.
- Deep understanding of retail, consumer goods, and fashion supply chains.
- Strong negotiation and commercial acumen.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence without authority.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
