Aligns demand, supply, and capacity, and execution of Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) across assigned division. Integrates customer service, scheduling, planning, and procurement to ensure customer requirements are met, plants are properly loaded, and materials flow seamlessly.
Responsibilities
Develops and executes best practices for material planning and inventory management. Owns material planning across purchased components to meet the demand plan.
Plans and schedules material flow to ensure appropriate warehousing and distribution of raw material, work-in-progress, and finished goods. Ensures Master Production Schedule (MPS) aligns with divisional SIOP volume and demand plan.
Ensures the correct inventory levels of plant raw material, work-in-progress, and finished goods are consistent with business requirements and working capital targets.
Oversees capacity planning while utilizing appropriate tools and analyses to ensure smooth production output.
Ensures customer scorecards, escalations, and order commitments are executed consistently. Serves as Voice of the Customer in planning, scheduling, and materials functions.
Responsible for effectively planning, directing, and executing the activities of the Demand Planning Materials team using a systems and database approach to meet the needs of the business.
Identifies, plans, and implements activities designed to reduce costs while improving quality, safety, and delivery methods.
Implements and drives continuous improvement activities through the application of change management and best practices.
Leads, mentors, and manages team, providing guidance and support to ensure individual and collective success while fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Responsible for several manufacturing facilities, serving as a regional leader.
Completes Other Projects As Required.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience leading a successful team.
Strong problem-solving and analysis skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Proficiency in production planning software and tools (e.g., ERP/MRP systems).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, or related field, or equivalent experience required.
Experience Requirements
Seven years of experience in production control, material management, or related.
Prior experience in a manufacturing environment highly preferred.
