Job Purpose:The Regional Head of Security & Operational Resilience – MEA is responsible for leading and implementing the regional strategy for Security, Health & Safety (H&S) & Business Continuity Management (BCM) in alignment with global and divisional objectives.

The role ensures the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks to minimize exposure to people, operational, financial, and reputational risks, while ensuring compliance with increasing customer and regulatory requirements.

The position plays a critical role in strengthening operational resilience, ensuring effective crisis preparedness and response, and maintaining strong relationships with regulatory authorities, law enforcement, and intelligence networks across the region.

In this Regional Head of Security & Operational Resilience – MEA position

Key Responsibilities


  • Develop and implement the regional Security & Operational Resilience strategy in alignment with global and divisional priorities covering AFR, OFR, IP, CDZ and Road.
  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the ISO 45001 certified Health & Safety Management System (HSMS) in alignment with DGF's Global Health & Safety Management System, guidance and standards across the region.
  • Ensure governance and consistent application of Security, Health & Safety, Business Continuity Management (BCM), Quality, and Environmental standards across all MEA countries
  • Identify, assess, and manage regional risks (people, financial, operational, and reputational) and implement effective mitigation measures.
  • Respond to and escalate critical safety concerns raised by employees or management, ensuring timely and appropriate actions.
  • Define and deploy the regional security framework, policies, and standards to reduce incidents, claims, and losses.
  • Lead and coordinate the regional safety audit program, including planning, execution, reporting, and follow-up.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, customer requirements, and external regulatory frameworks across the region.
  • Develop, implement, and track the annual Regional Safety Plan in alignment with global safety objectives.
  • Ensure accurate, timely reporting and analysis of incident and accident data across the region.
  • Establish and maintain a functional safety governance structure, including regional and country-level safety committees.
  • Lead the implementation and governance of Business Continuity Management (BCM) and crisis management, including preparedness, response, and recovery
  • Oversee investigation of major incidents and claims, ensuring root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
  • Serves as a member of the Regional DGFF Compliance panel and supports compliance investigations as appropriate
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, law enforcement agencies, and intelligence services across MEA
  • Monitor and respond to evolving regulatory requirements and their impact on business operations and customers.
  • Champion a strong safety culture by leading engagement campaigns and modelling safety leadership behavior.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational resilience, compliance, and performance
  • Support global product development by embedding risk, security, compliance, and resilience considerations
  • Identify and resolve complex operational, process, and procedural challenges across countries, stations, and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders including customers, 3PL providers, carriers, subcontractors, and authorities to ensure risk mitigation and compliance
  • Developing the VAS unit by creating innovative, value‑adding Security & Resilience services that strengthen customer offerings and showcase industry leadership
  • Define, track, and report performance metrics related to risk management, incidents, compliance, and resilience
  • Promote a strong risk-aware culture and ensure accountability for security and resilience across the region.

  • Significant experience in Security, Health & Safety, Business Continuity, Quality, Environmental Management, law enforcement, intelligence services, or relevant international organizations
  • Proven experience in multi-country or regional roles, ideally in logistics or complex operational environments
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, ISO, BCM, Security) are advantageous
  • Stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Project and program management
