The Recruitment Manager with Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts plays a strategic and operational role in leading the full-cycle recruitment function for the hotel, ensuring the attraction, selection, and hiring of high-caliber talent in alignment with the hotel’s brand standards, Hilton values, and business objectives.

What Will I Be Doing

This role is responsible for developing recruitment strategies, managing recruitment operations, ensuring compliance, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience while supporting department heads and leadership in building a best-in-class team. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end recruitment process for all positions across the hotel, from workforce planning and sourcing through selection, offer management, and onboarding coordination
  • Partner closely with Department Heads and Hiring Managers to understand manpower requirements, job specifications, and hiring timelines, providing expert recruitment advice and market insights.
  • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies using internal and external platforms, including Taleo, job portals, professional networks, social media, and talent pipelines.
  • Oversee the posting of job advertisements in line with hotel branding guidelines and ensure consistency with corporate recruitment standards.
  • Conduct and/or oversee candidate screening, interviews, and assessments to evaluate suitability, cultural fit, and alignment with luxury hospitality service standards.
  • Ensure a seamless and positive candidate experience by maintaining clear, timely, and professional communication throughout all stages of the recruitment process.
  • Prepare, review, and manage Offers of Employment in coordination with the Director of Human Resources, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance with hotel policies and local labor laws.
  • Oversee the maintenance and integrity of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring accurate tracking, documentation, and reporting of recruitment activities and metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws, regulations, and internal policies related to recruitment, selection, data privacy, and equal employment opportunity.
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources team to ensure smooth onboarding and handover of new hires, including coordination of documentation, orientation schedules, and visa processing requirements.
  • Supervise and coach recruitment team members (if applicable), providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure high recruitment standards are consistently met.
  • Monitor recruitment KPIs, analyze hiring data, and prepare regular recruitment reports for the Director of Human Resources and senior leadership.
  • Promote best practices and continuous improvement in recruitment processes, actively seeking feedback from candidates and stakeholders to enhance efficiency and experience.
  • Stay informed on hospitality industry trends, talent market conditions, and emerging recruitment technologies to maintain a competitive hiring approach.
  • Represent the Human Resources department in internal committees and initiatives, including participation in the True Waldorf Committee and support of HR activities and engagement events.
  • Ensure adherence to the hotel’s fire, health, safety, and hygiene policies and actively participate in evacuation and safety procedures.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources in support of hotel operations and people strategy.

  • Previous experience in a luxury five-star hotel, high-end hospitality group, or corporate recruitment environment is preferred
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end recruitment processes across multiple departments within a hotel or large service-driven organization
  • Strong understanding of hospitality workforce planning, talent acquisition strategies, and market trends within the luxury segment
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with Department Heads and senior leaders, providing professional guidance and recruitment expertise
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage confidently with candidates and internal clients from diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Genuine passion for attracting, selecting, and hiring talent that embodies service excellence and brand values
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity when handling confidential candidate and employee information
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple requisitions, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), preferably Taleo, and proficiency in recruitment reporting and data analysis
  • Solid knowledge of recruitment compliance, employment legislation, and best practices, particularly within the hospitality industry
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering a consistent, high-quality candidate experience
  • Ability to remain composed, solution-focused, and adaptable in a fast-paced, operational hospitality environment
  • Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement approach to recruitment processes and employer branding initiatives
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of the Human Resources leadership team and support broader HR initiatives and projects
  • Flexibility to meet operational requirements, including occasional attendance at recruitment events, job fairs, and hotel functions
