Job Description

As a Receptionist Cum Admission Officer, you will be a pivotal point of contact within our organization, representing the reception desk with professionalism while managing admissions processes seamlessly. This dual role requires versatility, as you will be responsible for welcoming visitors, answering inquiries, and organizing the reception area, alongside managing student admission procedures. You will assist prospective students and their families with application requirements and ensure a smooth admission process from start to finish. Your interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks will contribute significantly to creating a positive first impression and an organized admission experience for all our stakeholders.


Responsibilities

  • Greet visitors and handle inquiries with a professional and warm approach.
  • Manage the reception area to ensure a welcoming and organized environment.
  • Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and direct inquiries to the appropriate department.
  • Assist in the admission process by handling applications and corresponding paperwork.
  • Provide guidance to prospective students and families on application requirements and deadlines.
  • Ensure timely and accurate data entry of student information into admission systems.
  • Coordinate admission interviews and maintain calendars for all admission events.
  • Follow up with applicants to provide updates on their application status and next steps.
  • Assist with organizing admission events such as open houses and school tours.
  • Maintain knowledge of current admission policies and changes in enrollment procedures.
  • Prepare reports related to admissions statistics and trends for internal review.
  • Support the administration team in general office tasks and special projects as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications are a plus.
  • Proven experience in a receptionist or administrative role is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities are crucial for success.
  • Proficient in using office software like MS Office and database systems.
  • Customer service orientation and ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
