RandR - Specialist Environmental Planning Advisor

We are looking for a motivated and experienced environmental planner to help us ensure good outcomes for the environment in the delivery of new development.

As a Key Member Of Our Planning, Landscape And Energy Team You Will Work With Colleagues Across NRW Providing Expert Advice On Planning Policy And Environmental Assessments, Including On Securing Good Condition For Our Special Areas Of Conservation Which Are Sensitive To Increases In Nutrient Levels. This Will Involve

• developing advice and guidance for internal colleagues and for planning authorities;
• providing expert advice in response to planning application and development plan consultations;
• working closely with various environmental specialisms within NRW and external stakeholders in the development of new and innovative tools to ensure environmentally informed decision-making within the planning system.
  
  

You will be a planner, or have worked in environment management, with a good knowledge of the planning system and environmental assessment processes, including Habitats Regulations Assessment.

Youll be located within our Strategy, Planning and Evidence Directorate making a valuable contribution towards natures recovery, improving climate resilience, and minimising pollution.
