RandD Intern

Position Summary



The R&D Intern supports the cosmetic Research & Development team in formulation, testing, and documentation of skincare, haircare, and/or cosmetic products. This role provides hands-on exposure to cosmetic formulation, raw material evaluation, and compliance with quality and regulatory standards.



Key Responsibilities

• Assist with formulation and reformulation of cosmetic products under supervision
• Support product stability, compatibility, and performance testing
• Prepare samples and maintain laboratory cleanliness and organization
• Accurately document formulas, test results, and batch records
• Assist with raw material evaluations and ingredient research
• Support scale-up and manufacturing trial activities as needed
• Follow GMP, safety, and quality procedures at all times

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Cosmetic Science, Biology, or related field
• Strong interest in cosmetics, formulation, and product development
• Basic understanding of laboratory safety and practices
• Detail-oriented with strong organization and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word); LIMS experience a plus

• Prior lab, formulation, or manufacturing internship experience
• Familiarity with cosmetic ingredients and INCI names
• Knowledge of FDA cosmetic regulations or GMP concepts (a plus)

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
• Ability to work in a laboratory/manufacturing environment

• Hands-on cosmetic formulation experience
• Exposure to cosmetic regulatory, quality, and manufacturing processes
• Mentorship from experienced chemists and R&D professionals
