Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Rail Systems Manager to join our team!

The Rail Systems Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the integration, coordination, and delivery of all rail systems for a large rail infrastructure project. The role will oversee the planning, development, coordination, and integration of multidisciplinary rail systems including signalling, communications, power supply, rolling stock, OCC, platform systems, and related airport integration interfaces.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and manage the overall coordination, integration, and delivery of all rail systems across all project stages.
• Oversee multidisciplinary rail systems including signalling (ATC/CBTC), telecommunications, traction power, SCADA, OCC systems, rolling stock, platform systems, PSDs, depot systems, and associated infrastructure interfaces.
• Ensure full integration between rail systems, airport interfaces, passenger systems, operational interfaces, and baggage handling systems where applicable.
• Manage systems integration activities and coordinate interfaces between civil, architectural, MEP, railway systems, airport systems, and operational stakeholders.
• Support development of rail systems strategies, operational concepts, technical requirements, and system performance criteria for express railway operations.
• Lead Systems Engineering coordination including requirements management, interface management, verification, validation, and systems assurance support activities.
• Coordinate preparation and review of Design and Construct tender documentation related to rail systems, technical specifications, interface requirements, and operational integration requirements.
• Support testing and commissioning activities including FAT, SAT, SIT, integrated testing, trial operations, and operational readiness for all rail systems.
• Coordinate with designers, contractors, operators, airport stakeholders, authorities, and independent assessors to ensure alignment with project objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and manage technical, operational, interface, and integration risks associated with rail systems delivery and implement mitigation measures.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, operational requirements, international railway standards, and applicable authority regulations.
• Provide technical leadership and support to the Project Manager and multidisciplinary teams throughout the delivery of large-scale rail and airport-integrated infrastructure projects
  
  
  

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

• Relevant Engineering Degree from a recognized University.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the AECO industry or relevant field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in rail projects and/or rail operations in Dubai, the GCC, and/or internationally.
• Professional certification or membership with a recognized engineering or railway institution is preferred.
• Extensive knowledge and demonstrable experience in rail systems integration and delivery for large-scale rail and infrastructure projects, including express railway systems.
• Relevant expertise in rail systems, airport integration, passenger systems, operational interfaces, and baggage handling integration for express railway services.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary rail systems including signalling, communications, traction power, OCC, rolling stock, depot systems, and platform systems.
• Proven experience managing technical and management scope of complex rail systems packages within mega rail or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of Systems Engineering principles including requirements management, interface management, verification, and validation processes.
• Experience coordinating with operators, airport stakeholders, authorities, contractors, and multidisciplinary delivery teams.
• Familiarity with international railway standards, operational requirements, and best practices related to rail systems integration and delivery.
