Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Senior Specialist Radiologist to join our Government Healthcare Facility.

The successful candidate will provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services, interpret a broad range of radiological examinations, and work collaboratively with clinicians and multidisciplinary teams to support accurate diagnosis and effective patient management.

The role requires strong expertise in diagnostic radiology, excellent clinical judgment, and a commitment to patient safety, quality, and evidence-based practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform and interpret a wide range of diagnostic imaging examinations, including X-ray, ultrasound, CT, and MRI, according to qualifications and scope of practice.
  • Provide accurate, timely, and comprehensive radiology reports.
  • Review and interpret complex imaging studies and communicate critical findings promptly to referring physicians.
  • Perform image-guided procedures where appropriately trained and credentialed.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary clinical meetings and case discussions.
  • Provide radiological consultation to physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure appropriate imaging protocols are selected based on clinical indications.
  • Collaborate with referring physicians to determine the most appropriate diagnostic imaging approach.
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records and radiology documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety, infection-control, patient-safety, and quality standards.
  • Participate in departmental quality assurance, clinical audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support the supervision, training, and mentoring of junior radiologists and residents.
  • Participate in teaching, continuing medical education, research, and professional development activities.
  • Participate in on-call and emergency radiology services as required.
  • Keep current with advances in diagnostic imaging technology, techniques, and evidence-based radiology practice.
  • MD, MBBS, MBChB, or equivalent Medical Degree from a recognized and accredited institution.
  • Completion of an accredited Residency/Specialist Training Program in Diagnostic Radiology.
  • Recognized postgraduate qualification in Radiology/Diagnostic Radiology.
  • American Board Certification in Diagnostic Radiology or an equivalent internationally recognized board certification is highly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of post-specialization clinical experience in Diagnostic Radiology, subject to applicable licensing and credentialing requirements.
  • Demonstrated expertise in interpreting a broad range of diagnostic imaging studies.
  • Strong experience in CT, MRI, ultrasound, and conventional radiography.
  • Experience in emergency and acute-care radiology is highly desirable.
  • Experience with interventional or image-guided procedures is an advantage, where applicable.
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety principles and applicable clinical standards.
  • Excellent diagnostic, analytical, and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage.
  • Candidates must meet all applicable licensing, credentialing, and professional classification requirements.
