Job Description

As a Radiographer, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare industry by using medical imaging techniques to diagnose and treat patients. Your skills will assist doctors in identifying illnesses and injuries, facilitating more informed decision-making for the treatment of patients. Radiographers handle a variety of imaging equipment, such as X-ray machines, MRI scanners, and CT scanners, while ensuring patients are safely and accurately positioned to get the most effective diagnostic images. You will be responsible for maintaining the imaging equipment, following radiation safety protocols, and ensuring patient care during imaging procedures. This role requires a deep understanding of anatomy, imaging technology, and excellent interpersonal skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals.


Responsibilities

  • Operate and manage imaging equipment to develop diagnostic images required by physicians.
  • Maintain accurate records of all procedures and patient interactions in the database.
  • Ensure patient safety throughout imaging procedures by adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process and addressing any concerns.
  • Adjust and maintain equipment, performing quality control tests to guarantee optimum performance.
  • Analyze and evaluate images for quality, ensuring they meet diagnostic requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding the patient's condition and results.
  • Keep up with developments in radiography by attending workshops and continuous education programs.
  • Provide compassionate care and make patients feel comfortable during imaging procedures.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to support interdisciplinary approaches to patient treatment.
  • Implement health and safety measures to minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and technological advances in radiography.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or associate degree in Radiography or a related field.
  • Valid license to practice as a Radiographer .
  • Strong understanding of medical imaging technology and patient care practices.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of diagnostic imaging equipment and software.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain procedures to patients.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow precise instructions and maintain attention to detail.
  • Compassionate attitude towards patients with exceptional interpersonal skills.
